EPISODE NOTES:
How we show up in relationships, the partner we choose, and what we look for in our partner can be majorly impacted by trauma we’ve experienced in our past.
Bringing a different mindset or approach to how you show up in relationships can make all of the difference.
People with anxious attachment styles tend to shut down their own needs when they’re dating or in a relationship.
Not everyone has the goal of getting married. Marriage isn’t the only path or the only option for long-term commitment. Our generation is shifting into this mindset.
Our generation is also shifting into taking a look at what our beliefs are about relationship and what our best relationship dynamic looks like.
The strongest foundation for a relationship is good, open, honest communication rather than just focusing on compatibility.
If you’re going to be in a relationship with someone, you’re going to be with several people over that period of time because your partner will change and grow.
A healthy, thriving relationship must change over time.
We often tend to look for partners and relationships that will heal something from our past or be different from what we learned or experienced growing up.
