EPISODE NOTES:

  • As much as we all know finding balance in life is important, it’s an area where there’s just not a lot of support or resources we can turn to.

  • Intimacy can be defined as being vulnerable and having the courage to connect.

  • So often people haven’t gotten intimate with themselves, therefore it’s difficult to get intimate with anyone else.

  • “Intimacy is like IN-TO ME.”

  • Utilizing self-care and pleasure is a big step in sharing intimacy and being able to show up vulnerably in relationships. This helps us get in touch with what we truly want and need in general.

  • Having a grounding practice and setting boundaries are both game-changers in finding balance amongst a busy workload and crazy schedule.

  • The stronger the boundaries are, the more freedom there is for intimacy.

  • Our society still holds some shame in not being able to handle it all, not being able to be on top of or cover it all.

  • Connection comes from asking yourself if what you’re working towards and what you’re experiencing is still what you want. Is it still serving you? Is it bringing you to the life you want to carry on?

  • Intimacy is vulnerability. Vulnerability takes courage and risk.
