EPISODE NOTES:
We live in a time where we want to feel valued and appreciated at work. If we don’t feel these things, and if we’re not growing, we tend to leave positions pretty quickly. The voice of “get out” gets stronger.
We naturally start to do some deep introspection when things aren’t aligning in our lives.
There is a lot of fear around the possibility of a big change or the realization that something needs to change.
If there’s one thing that keeps us stuck, it’s fear - the biggest emotion across the board.
We’re creative species and the idea that we are supposed to go to school, learn a craft, and do it for the rest of our lives in not inherently natural.
We are not stagnant creatures - we are constantly changing, evolving, and growing throughout our lives.
Our jobs and careers are things that we do, not who we are. But society tells us different.
When we put our identify in something changeable, it makes our identity fragile.
Oftentimes when we are feeling stressed or burnt out in our jobs, it is other areas of our life that are lacking. When we don’t take the time to honor and focus on the things that light us up and make us happy, we feel drained in the areas that take up that time.
